So I turn off the water of my shower to overhear the following conversation coming from the office:
Dave: "...it's an angry spider. He's angry with me...See he's got eight legs. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight! He's got eight legs and two fangs, whoa, and eight eyes."
Tate: "Eyes."
Dave: "Yeah, you see him, Buddy? He's a spider! He's angry...look at him go!"
At which point I decide to investigate where said spider is actually going. Upon arriving in the office, I find Tate on Dave's lap sitting at the computer.
Me: "What's going on?"
Dave: "I came in here and there was this spider on the desk! And look, he gets mad when I poke him with this pen. It's like he wants to fight!"
I have to admit; I was intrigued with this spider who would go head to head with a pen. I had to take a turn. And sure enough, as I placed the tip of the pen in front of the spider, I witnessed attack mode.
Me: "Okay, that's enough." as the spider began to crawl on the pen. "Get it, Dave!"
That's when my brave, spider fighting husband captured the spider in a tissue and we threw it in the toilet.
Me: "See ya, spider!" Flush
Moments later, Tate walks over to the toilet, lifts up the lids and says:
"Byyye! Byyye!"
Take that, Spider...warn your friends.

Cheeky
You know how every once in a while your favorite TV show will air an episode of "flashbacks"; an episode that solely acts as a filler to pacify the viewer until the new shows begin again. Ah-hem. Ladies and gentlemen...your filler post. Let's reflect back at the awesomeness of Tate's pinchable cheeks.
I don't remember what he was saying or doing when I took this picture, but looking at it now all I want to do is smooch on his face. Poor kid. He doesn't stand a chance.
Check out all the chub! I forget how rolly polly he was.
so ultra cool...
We spent a great deal of last summer hanging out on the front porch. Tate loves being outside (and as naked as possible) so watching the world go by from his little blanket suited him just fine.
A face (and boy) I can't get enough of. Although to be honest, I don't even get this face from him anymore. It is more a face that says, "really Mom? Really?"
A big thanks to Carly for demanding (and by demanding I mean suggested I do a post about Tate's cheeks and then didn't show up to my party) I publish a new post. I do have to tell you Lady, it was a great idea. Twice yesterday, separate individuals commented on Tate's cheeks, because really, they are awesome.

Alphabet Soup with a Side of Tater Tot
Bath time is a big hit at our house. It became an even bigger hit today when at 6:00am in the morning (because Tate thought 4:15am was an appropriate wake-up time) Tate took a bath with new bath toys. Super fun, foam letters that stick to the side of the tub and are perfect for throwing all over the bathroom.
Only the best toys get chosen for bath time and by chosen, I mean thrown in.
He was pretty excited to get in an play with the new, colorful, floating toys.
Perfectly placed hand = very modest picture

The Next American Idol
Tate and I have been home sick today. We've lounged in our pj's and taken naps. This particular event took place after Tate's afternoon nap. Please take note of Tate's awesome bedhead.
